Playing in mud was encouraged
City’s annual Muddy Buddy Run provides tons of fun during annual event at Lakefront Park
It was a great day to play in the mud and there were no parental objections!
The Muddy Buddy Run, sponsored by the City of Prior Lake's Parks and Recreation Department, drew 97 youngsters who signed up for the event held last Friday, Aug. 15.
Participants definitely came ready to get dirty and have lots of fun.
City crews flooded the obstacle course in Lakefront Park for the memorable challenges and photo opportunities. Event favorites for children ages 5 through 12 included the foam pit and mud crawl (hence the name Muddy Buddy), but the slip-n-slide was again a big hit this year, according to Steve Hart, the city's Parks and Recreation Manager.
